3SixtyWraps: Spring & Summer Motorsport Calendar
2017 is set to be a busy year for the team here at 3SixtyWraps. We’ll be working on literally hundreds of cars across dozens of motorsport events worldwide. Here’s a taster of what we have coming up, as well as a look at some of the projects we’ve worked on so far this year.
Formula E, the original Electric Street Racing Series has gone from strength to strength since its inaugural season in 2014. Over 190 million viewers across 100 countries watched the first season and the event has had well over 5 billion mentions on social media so far. The 2017 season will see drivers compete across 12 rounds – including double headers in New York and Montreal. Team 3SixtyWraps will be there behind the scenes to wrap damaged parts in between races. We’ve also worked on the motorsport graphics for several Formula E teams, including DS Virgin Racing, Andretti Autosport, Renault E.dams, Dragon Racing, and the Venturi FE Team. Gumball 3000 – The Gumball Rally
2017 will see the return of the epic Gumball 3000 rally. 150 cars will descend on Riga in Latvia on July 1 for a celebrity supercar display of epic proportions. After the flag drops on July 2, the cars will pass through Riga, Warsaw, Budapest, Dubrovnik, Tirana, and Athens, before arriving at their final destination of Mykonos on July 7.
This year we will be applying stickers and logos to all of the cars before the 3000-mile journey gets underway.
The FIA World Endurance Championship is made up of nine endurance races which take place all over the world. The most well-known race in the WEC calendar is, arguably, the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Although Le Mans has been part of the WEC championship since 2012, the event has been taking place annually since 1923. This year, we will be working with Manor Racing on X. Have they gone into administration? British F4 Championship The British F4 Championship is believed by many to be the most competitive junior single seat category in the world. Junior drivers battle for points in single-seaters with the aim of taking another step closer up the ladder to F1. We’re proud to have worked with the three-car GT4 team of Sean Walkinshaw Racing. GT4 European Series – Northern Cup The popular GT4 European Series – Northern Cup, is a sports car championship which sees both professional and amateur drivers compete across six high profile circuits worldwide. This year’s calendar includes races in Italy, the UK, Austria, Slovakia, the Netherlands and Germany. This season, we have been working with the two-car Nissan 370Z team of Sean Walkinshaw Racing. Ginetta GRDC The Ginetta GRDC (Ginetta Racing Drivers’ Club) is a four-round UK series that has been designed with first-time racing drivers in mind. All racers compete in the Ginetta G40 Club car. We’re proud to be working with two teams: Triple V Racing and their two-car team, and Oxford Engineering and their one-car team. British Drift championship
The British Drift Championship (BDC) is the UK’s leading professional drift series. Now in its ninth year, BDC events attract thousands of spectators who enjoy non-stop action and entertainment as drivers go head-to-head across six rounds.
This year, we’re proud to be part-sponsoring driver Wayne Keeber and his Toyota Soarer, and also fully sponsoring Team Redmist. Here are a few pictures of Team Redmist driver Mark “Cookie” Annette’s car, a Nissan PS13 before and after it received the 3SixtyWraps treatment.
We’re very happy to be sponsoring Team Kejja of Kejja Motorsport in the Junior Dragster Championship.
European Funny Car Drag Series
The European Funny Car Series is back for its fifth season in 2017. We’ve worked with incredibly talented UK Fuel racer, Steve Ashdown, to perfect the wrap on his vehicle, the Undertaker FC.
Steve spoke to EuroDragster about our work earlier this month, saying: “Nick (Kenway, owner of 3SixtyWraps) is a great guy. He really knows his stuff … I can recommend that anyone who needs a vehicle wrap call Nick.”
Sports 2000 (SRCC)
As one of the fastest sports car series in the UK, Sports 2000 gives racers the opportunity to compete at some of the finest circuits across Europe and the UK. This year we have worked with Keith Mizzen Racing on their MCR Sports Car to create a bespoke livery.
European Tractor Pulling Championship
The European Tractor Pulling Championship is an annual event organised by the European Tractor Pulling Committee (ETPC). This year we are pleased to be working with The Knight Tractor Pulling Team. The Knight is a UK 2.5 tonne modified tractor puller created in 2016. It is powered by 2 Ford V8 supercharged engines running on methanol. The team will be competing in the small village of Stroe in the Netherlands on September 8 & 9 2017.
