Murphy Protoype LMP2 on site stripe & re-wrap for Le Mans 24hr

Arriving on Friday morning for the first time at arguably the most prestigious race event in the world, The Circuit de la Sarthe, home of the Le Mans 24 hour endurance race.

Working as part our trade fitting service with our clients existing graphics team we excitedly jumped in the team golf buggy to go and asses our first project!

We arrived at the team garage initially to make some minor adjustments to the existing wrap and add last minute sponsors changes. It was quickly decided the new plan would be to completely stipe and re-wrap the front end plus make changes to the rear of the car. The car had to be at scrutineering first thing Monday morning, time was against us so we raced back to base to get material and tools and headed back down to the pit lane.

Activity around the car was hectic as the mechanics had plenty of setup work to carry out. We tentivly set to work removing the old wrap. After a several of hours working inside we had to move the car on to the pit straight which worked in our favour as the heat from the French sun made light work of removing the wrap. The wrap was off and after a serious clean we set to work on installing the new wrap. We had to ensure the new wrap lined up with the existing which meant we were constant changing body panels. After 3 days two sets of bodywork and a nice tan we finished with plenty of time to spare.

We hope you’ll agree the finished results look spectacular
