Wrapping the first Chinese team to enter the Le Mans
After receiving the initial phone call late on a Wednesday evening, asking “Were we able to fully wrap and livery a LMP2 race car plus a full set of spare bodywork to be completed by the following Wednesday?” Asking if schedule was fixed with the reply “No, its for the 6 hours of Silverstone leg of the World Endurence Championship” We replied “When can we start?”
We excitedly took on this challenge and we arrived at the teams UK operation first thing Saturday morning to start the install. Looking at the raw carbon shell it looked more like it belonged in a Batman film than a race track. We began to prep the vehicle ready for the wrap.
We worked tirelessly all weekend and into the early part of the week to get this finished. All the blue and grey curves on the car are cut by hand making templates on the go to ensure both sides of the car where exactly the same. We even ended up at the racetrack until 10pm Wednesday night finishing last minute sponsor changes and ensuring all mandatory graphics were in place ready for scrutineering first thing Thursday Morning.
We hope you’ll agree the finished results look spectacular.
